About Me

After completing a degree in Fine Art and English Literature at Exeter University I went home to Reading for a year and worked in pensions and in a local newspaper before deciding to find a way of earning a living somewhere nice by the sea and moving to Brighton. I originally thought about curating, writing about art and museum work but went down the teaching path.

As a younger artist I tended to get involved in darker more emotional themes, and sharing observations but as I now spend more time out in day light hours, the palette has brightened up. Having worked and travelled extensively in Colombia, and visited many other countries, I also like to capture something of these experiences in painting. Now I am a mother of three small children so have begun using them as models when they will stay still...as in not much.

I enjoy working to commisions, particularly for portraits and street scenes, and have completed several pieces successfully fufilling clients requirements to provide them with a unique, painting capturing a particular person or place in time forever.  I also create personalised invitations and stationary.

Contact me to order giclee prints of the work. For commissions, I am happy to work from photographs and/or real life so please get in touch to discuss what could work for you.
